Aria Terms

These terms govern the Aria app, its free plan, paid licenses and subscriptions. You will receive a summary of your selected plan and price before purchase.

1. Seller and contact

The seller is also Aria's service provider and licensor. Questions, complaints and purchase notices can be sent to kontakt@appfly.pl.

2. The product and plans

Aria is a native macOS application for dictation, meeting transcription, teleprompter work, text actions and integrations. Some features run on the device; others use cloud services selected by the user.

• Free — limited local plan on one device, including one trial meeting of up to 60 minutes;
• Local — perpetual access to local features and BYOK on up to three active devices;
• Pro — monthly or yearly subscription with Local and Aria Cloud, on up to three active devices;
• Founding Beta — invitation-only perpetual local access without Aria Cloud, tied to a regular feedback programme.

The current scope, limits and total price are shown before purchase. Founding Beta is not publicly available and may close once the cohort is full.

3. Technical requirements and recording

Aria requires an Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 14 or newer, microphone permission and — for dictation into other apps — macOS Accessibility permission. Cloud features, sign-in, licensing and payments require an Internet connection.

You are responsible for recording lawfully and obtaining any consent required by law or your organisation before recording other people.

4. Account, installation and devices

You may start Free without an account. Aria then creates a pseudonymous installation identifier to enforce limits and count installations. A paid plan, device management and Aria Cloud require an account.

Paid licenses support up to three active devices. Devices can be viewed and disconnected in Aria. A license is periodically verified online and offers a limited offline grace period; it does not create access after a license is refunded or revoked.

5. Orders, price and payment

Paid plans are ordered after sign-in. Before confirmation, checkout shows the plan, billing period, currency and final amount to be charged. Tax treatment depends on the country of sale and information entered at checkout. Stripe processes the payment. With a delayed payment method, the license activates only after payment is confirmed.

Local and Founding Beta are one-time purchases. Pro renews automatically for the selected period until cancelled. You can cancel through the Customer Portal opened from Aria; access normally remains until the end of the paid period.

6. Digital supply and withdrawal

Aria is digital content or a digital service. An EU consumer entering a distance contract generally has 14 days to withdraw. Early loss of that right can only occur when all applicable legal requirements are met, including prior express consent to begin, informed acknowledgement of losing the right and contract confirmation on a durable medium.

7. License

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your own business or personal use under the selected plan. “Perpetual” means no recurring fee for covered local features. It does not transfer copyright or source code and does not guarantee compatibility with every future operating system or device indefinitely.

You must not bypass licensing or plan limits, share access outside your entitlement, resell the service, reverse engineer it beyond mandatory legal permissions, or use Aria unlawfully.

8. Updates and availability

Aria may receive security updates, fixes and new features. Required updates are supplied in accordance with applicable law. Cloud features may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, provider failures or events outside our reasonable control.

9. Complaints and conformity

Send a complaint to kontakt@appfly.pl with your account email, a description, date and desired resolution. We respond without undue delay and no later than required by applicable consumer law. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights relating to digital content or service conformity.

10. Output and liability

Transcription and AI output can contain mistakes. Review content before sending, publishing or using it for decisions with legal, medical, financial or safety consequences.

For consumers, liability follows mandatory law. For non-consumers, liability for lost profits is excluded to the broadest extent permitted by law.

11. Governing law

Polish law applies while preserving mandatory protection provided by the law of a consumer's habitual residence. Disputes are handled by the competent court unless the parties voluntarily use an alternative dispute resolution procedure.
